Oily hair:

Normal hair:

Normal hair is neither greasy nor dry. It has not been premed, straightened or color treated. It holds its style well. it looks good and healthy most of the time. You should choose a shampoo and conditioner that are designed for normal hair.

Dry hair:

It does not contain enough moisture. It is because cuticle is weathered and porous and cortex can’t retain water. It shows up more in long hair as long hair has been weathered more. It does not shine vitamin B and protein conditioners are helpful in this condition.dry hair looks dull. It feels rough. It tangles easily. It is difficult to comb or brush. Use nourishing shampoo, after shampooing use a good conditioner, deep conditioner is must.

Oily hair:

It is due to build up of natural secretion of oil from glands in the scalp. The sebum passes into hair follicle and spreads upwards and over the shaft. It is not absorbed into the shaft. Infrequent shampooing may result in build up of grease, dirt and bacteria which make the hair look unpleasant.
Frequently washing is the only way to care for this type of hair. Short hair is more troublesome as oil has very large area to cover. It tends to be limp. It looks flat and lacks volume. It is difficult to manage because it does not hold the style. It soon gets greasy again after shampooing. Wash hair with good shampoo specially designed for greasy hair and use special conditioner for greasy hair.

Combination hair:

Hair is combination of both, greasy as well as dry. It tends to be greasy at the roots and the shaft is dry and sometimes has split ends also. Greasy at the roots. Shaft is dry. Sometimes split ends. Use products that have only a gentle action, try using a shampoo for oily hair and finish by applying a conditioner only from the middle lengths to the ends of the hair.
